Bulldog Flatulence – A Smelly Bulldog
Although not a very common problem, some people may experience large amounts of American bulldog flatulence (or as we call it farting) which deems to be quite repulsive, as most of us would agree. So how can you reduce your bulldog’s flatulence? Consider asking yourself a few of these questions:
What are you feeding your dog? Most flatulence problems occur because of improper diet.. Or just something that your bulldog can’t digest very well. Is your dog eating table scraps? Keep in mind that not all human foods can be digested by bulldogs just as easily.
Is your bulldog lactose intolerant? Just like humans, your bulldog may be lactose intolerant so your dog may release nasty fumes after consuming dairy. That could very well be the cause.
Are you feeding her dog food? Supermarkets sell dog food that usually contains corn products for fillers that make your dog get “full”, but they can also contribute a great deal to the flatulence as well as allergies.
A flatulent dog can be quite embarrassing, I’m sure you agree. But what can we do about it?
For starters, since the main problem is your dog’s diet, so upgrade to higher quality dog food and see if that helps. In most cases, it’s probably your dog’s diet. But if an improved diet of top ingredients of chicken or lamb don’t improve your dog’s overall health it’s probably time for a vet checkup!
As frequent flatulence may be a sign of a bigger problem, staying on the safe side always works better. So try changing your bulldog’s diet. See if that helps. Good luck to all bulldog owners!
